2009 Dodge Journey Recall
Dodge recalled about 4,336 Dodge Journey models during May 2009. The root cause was wiring problem on steering column control module driver airbag squib connector. During collision, all airbags were observed not to be working appropriately and increased the life threat for all accommodates, including the driver. During the recall, all faulty airbags are substituted with new high performance airbags.
Considering various user reviews, and feedback from customers, you’ll realize that the 1999 model is severely affected by many problems. Especially the vehicles packed without 115 volt auxiliary power outlet are prone to electrical problems; they will be fixed in the second recall.
2008 Dodge Recall
In 2008, t6he Dodge recalled Compass, Jeep Patriot, Dodge Journey, Avenger, Dodge Caliber, and Sebring models. Those vehicles faced problems with the power-train control module (PCM). This issue forces the engine to stop abruptly, posing risk of crash without giving any prior warning. In recall, dealers provided a new powertrain control module on all the affected models, totally free of cost.
